G-local Grassroots Climate-action Consortium (G2C2)

On World Environment Day (2025, 5th June), the Green Center has come up with an initiative of forming a global forum of local climate movements, G-local Grassroots Climate-action Consortium (G2C2), for bringing all the local-communities & grassroots-based climate initiatives of different countries under one group.

The main objective of G2C2 is to take a global action together, for localizing climate action by promoting the inclusion and engagement of local governments and non-state stakeholders at the local level for achieving the goals and targets of Climate-action (SDG13), at global scale.

Green Center believes that local governments play a key role in minimizing vulnerability and building resilience.
