Women’s Economic Empowerment

Asal Aama (a word in Nepali language), meaning good mother, is a program launched for socio-economic empowerment of women for achieving the objective of promoting their prosperity, particularly focusing on increasing their per capita income and access to resources, and social security.

The main objective of this initiative is to empower the women so that they will be economically stronger/independent as well as able to take a leading and influential role in their family and society.

Asal Aaama program is being implemented, in coordination with 38 Asal Aama Groups, which consists of 1900 women-households.
